Grade III
A grade which may have open splits and knot holes according to EN635-3. Grade III offers the full technical strength of spruce plywood and it is recommended for use in applications where surface appearance is not of primary importance. Grade specification according to EN 635-5.

Appearance of birch plywood
UPM's standard birch plywood classification is by the grades of the face veneers in accordance with SFS 2413 standard.
GRADE B
Recommended for surfaces to belacquered. A few pin knots with a diameter of up to 6 mm are permitted as is slight variation in colour. In standard sizes up to a panel size 1250 x 2500 mm the outer ply shall be of one veneer. Does not contain plugs.
GRADE BB
A grade most used in structures. Minor surfaces defects are repaired with synthetic filler. A few sound knots with a diameter of up to 25 mm and other knots with a diameter of up to 6 mm are permitted.
GRADE WG

About veneer
Veneer is a thin slice of wood made by rotary cutting or slicing of the log. The appearance of veneer varies and it depends on how the log is cut.
Spruce veneer produced by UPM is mainly used in the parquet industry.

The production process for veneer varies slightly according to the mill and the end use.
Rotary-cut spruce veneer is used as the base of three-layer parquet. Thin but strong veneer balances the multilayer parquet construction and keeps it straight.
The standard thickness of Commerzwoodpelletcompanyltd-Parquet Veneer is 2.0 mm. Thicker veneers are available by request. The moisture content will be according to a customer's specification, with standard tolerance +/- 2 % or moisture controlled tolerance +/-1 %.
Commerzwoodpelletcompanyltd veneers go through constant quality assurance processes at all stages of the production. Dimensions, moisture and quality are measured several times to ensure the right grade.

COMMERZWOODPELLETCOMPANYLTD-Form Slab is coated spruce plywood for use in horizontal concrete forming. The light weight of the panel makes it easy to handle and a specially designed overlay masks the grain structure of the face veneer for a good quality finish.
